Official Schiit Vali 2 Thread
Okay OG Vali 2 owners. Not wanting to upgrade but looking for some tube types I haven’t tried before moving on. I’m thinking 6CG7 and 5670. Yes, I know the latter would need an adaptor. Thoughts? I have tried, in addition to the stock tube, a few new production 6922 tubes as well as a 6N1P.- TinearedOne

Schiit Magni+ and Magni Heretic :: Impressions Thread
Well, mine works great other than occasionally dropping the left channel - odd, but not returning, because I think it's a gain switch issue and re-switching the gain fixes it every time (I have two years to decide if it needs fixing). As for sound, still liking the Heretic, but my ears are...- TinearedOne

Schiit Vali 3 : Impressions Thread
Chiming in. My Vali 2 is pretty hummy with every tube in high gain. I think it’s just part of the design.- TinearedOne

Schiit Magni+ and Magni Heretic :: Impressions Thread
Well, last of its kind and Schiit is nearly out. Glad I bought one. The beauty of it all is that I can run the little amps from the SE out on my Modius. Still planning to get a Midgard or Jotunheim to take advantage of the balanced output.- TinearedOne

Schiit Vali 3 : Impressions Thread
That is the interesting thing. It seems the Vali 3 is the first Schiit tube hybrid to really benefit from rolling. It doesn't seem to have much affect on the 2, and I haven't heard of many really altering the Valhalla's sound via rolling.- TinearedOne

Schiit Magni Unity - Impressions Thread
That was my thought, too, and I prefer it to the Vali 2 (debating trying a JAN 5670W to see if it can win) and the Magni 3+. Greater detail. Greater control. Maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised. I think a lot depends on your hearing. I can't hear to 20kHz, so the "digititus" some report...- TinearedOne

Do you have a Midgard? If so, disappointed for what reason?- TinearedOne

Schiit Midgard - Impressions Thread
Hmm, not seeing Asgard 4 coming out as Halo. Why would they do that when they have Midgard and Jotunheim? I can see them trying to step up Jotunheim's game to make it clearly worth the upgrade from Midgard, though.- TinearedOne

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Well, as someone eagerly awaiting the Valhalla 3 that’s disappointing. On the other hand, posts like this remind me of why Schiit is always first in line for my audio dollar. Thanks.- TinearedOne

Schiit Jotunheim 2 - Impressions Thread
So, So, basically, if I want an amp that will scale, Jot 2, and if I don’t plan on pushing past BiFrost, Midgard. Thanks.- TinearedOne

Schiit Jotunheim 2 - Impressions Thread
OK, Jotunheim 2 owners. I'm looking for something with balanced inputs to take full advantage of my Modius AKM's balanced out. The candidates are Midgard and Jotunheim. So far, many more are lauding Midgard than the Jot 2. Do you think that's just its "newness" or is there something to it...- TinearedOne

What’s your favorite 2ch speaker pair currently?
I listened to a lot of speakers when I bought my Energy RC-10 speakers around 20 years ago. There's still a review of them from back in the day, and I can vouch for that review being spot on. They're still going strong and I believe they're still "giant-killers." YMMV if you buy the current...- TinearedOne
