    Travelling/Out of house headphones

Thanks. I believe over time I have settled on the Senns Momentum 4. Anyone have any experience comparing these with the Oppo PM3s?

    Travelling/Out of house headphones

A little background - I currently own Massdrop Fostex TH-X00 (Mahogany), Oppo PM-3, Apple airpods pro (ordered by sound preference). Mostly listen to electronic, rock/metal, jazz, classical (ordered by what I listen most to least) I am looking for some headphones to take mostly out of the...

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions

I haven't heard it, but the opus 1 is supposed to be a very good DAP. However I am not sure it would be the best choice for you since you mentioned you use Tidal. The opus does not have wifi connectivity, so no access to streaming services. Maybe the AK70 might be a better match, or something...

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions

If you get a good DAP you can probably just go straight from DAP balanced out to the PM-3s.

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions

Hi Pagan, thanks for the input. I first noticed on some classic jazz records, which like you said is an early recording. It was really noticeable here, like to the point I wasn't really enjoying the music (Duke Ellington's Money Jungle album). Very distracting. So I switched to newer...

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions

So, I already got my PM-3 paired with HA-2 SE. Yesterday was my second, albeit very short, listening day. I have been getting a hiss background noise that is more present in some tracks than others, but always there nonetheless. I've been running the OPPO HA-2 SE through USB from my Macbook...

Yes. If you really don't want to go down a rabbit hole stay away from tube amps and go SS.

I would stay away from the HD650. While I love them and they're great headphones, it seems they're just not what you are looking for. They have good detail but are not exactly categorized as being fun and packing a lot of punch.

Schiit Jotunheim Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

Sorry if this has been answered before (I'm sure it has, ad nauseam), tried using the search but couldn't find the answer. I currently have a Bifrost Uber which only has RCA out. If I connect my Bifrost to the Jot via the SE in and use the balanced out to the headphones, will I not be getting a...

    Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review

Hi guys. Regarding the Lawton tune up kit, I read here that only the driver dampening is desired and not driver + cup. Can someone please explain why? I can't seem to find the post again.
