Looking for negative profile balanced armature with small housing.

I have tried the AAWs in e-earphone in Japan, and while I liked the fit which was phenomenal, it was not only not my favourite sound (a tad too muddy in the mids) but it is also out of my price range of around 10,000 yen (US$100+-). I might give the rose mini 2 a try if I can find a pair! I...

Looking for negative profile balanced armature with small housing.

I have bad experience with negative profile iems. I have rather small ears with a small opening to boot; after a few hours i get pain in my antitragus (the rear flesh just outside the canal) whenever I wear them for long periods. Does anyone know good iems (particularly balanced armatures or...

Review and discussions - Audioengine D1 24/96 USB and Optical DAC/amp for laptops and computers

I just plugged the DAC into a USB hub, and picked up an cheap external power adapter for the hub. I'm not sure if it's just me, but it sounds like the extra power acted like an amplifier because the bass sounds fuller, there are a tad more details picked up, and the soundstage widened slightly...

Review and discussions - Audioengine D1 24/96 USB and Optical DAC/amp for laptops and computers

Hi guys, I've been owning a D1 for about 5 months (secondhand, but receipt shows it was bought in June last year). While listening to music or watch movies, the audio device suddenly has a slight beep and no sound comes out. I have to restart the device and it's ok... until it comes up again the...

    VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread

Hi all, I just picked up a 2nd hand pair of mkii's and it sounds fantastic, but how can one cope with discomfort? Tips and nozzle are fine, but the form factor does press on the earlobe a fair bit. The SE215 was less comfortable though.

    [REVIEW/COMPARISON] ATH-AD900X vs ATH-AD1000X vs MDR-MA900 - It's STILL over 900!!!!

I finally decided on getting the AD900x after about 15mins of comparisons, especially with the MA900. As great as the MA900 was at soundstage, I just didn't like how 'forgiving' it was in a lot of tracks. I seemed to enjoy the rather colder sound of the AD series a bit more. I also felt more...

Sony MDR-CD900ST, why don't these get more love?

Speaking of sources, I have a D10 (which I believe is a small step below the D12). I will presume that the power output is more than enough, but will the sound pair well with the CD900ST?

    [REVIEW/COMPARISON] ATH-AD900X vs ATH-AD1000X vs MDR-MA900 - It's STILL over 900!!!!

That would be WAY beyond my budget, which would be around $200. If I can squeeze a bit more then the MA900 would suffice :)

    [REVIEW/COMPARISON] ATH-AD900X vs ATH-AD1000X vs MDR-MA900 - It's STILL over 900!!!!

I'll just wait and listen when I'm there. CD900ST is an option 'cus, being "studio", my listening style tends to be analytical and a bit cold (used to own a HD25-1 and still use a Brainwavz B2); I heard it's beyond the league of V6 in a good way.

Cheers, now my choices are between MDR-MA900 or CD900ST :D

    [REVIEW/COMPARISON] ATH-AD900X vs ATH-AD1000X vs MDR-MA900 - It's STILL over 900!!!!

Hi, how's the detail and the soundstage of the AD700x when compared to the MA900? I'll be in Japan soon and hope to try them out! Sadly I also noticed a significant price increase since your review of the MA900.   BTW I finally know why I didn't enjoy the AD900x when I tried them: my music...

Fischer Audio TBA-04 Review (Triple Balanced Armature)

Hi can you do a comparison with the xba-30s? They seem to be at a similar price point (about $300) but I don't know how different they will sound.

    [REVIEW/COMPARISON] ATH-AD900X vs ATH-AD1000X vs MDR-MA900 - It's STILL over 900!!!!

Hi, I've read this thread a few times and tried the AD900x but not the Sony though, and I'm curious about the sound for electronic beats for either of them. My taste has mostly female vocals and the occasional piano piece, but it's mostly J-pop. I'm picky about soundstage and prefer good...

Sony MDR-CD900ST, why don't these get more love?

Headfonia once compared these cans with SRH840 before: http://www.headfonia.com/sony-mdr-cd900st/ Just curious, who has had experience with both before?
