Haven't noticed it on mine at all, I'm curious were you using XLR or the SE outputs?

I seem to be in the minority here but I love the DACT stepped attenuator... With a variable voltage DAC, I've not had an issue at all and the signal path is shorter and more "pure" with reduced distortion and cleaner noise floor.

I am, for my listening preference I see no reason to buy another amp other than to drive more demanding planar magnetics or to abandon class A for tubes. The amp truly benefits from cable upgrades and power source, see my review above.

Update: I have 12 hours of listing "factory configured" with stock power cable on the GS-X Mini (stepped), stock USB Chord Qutest, using the Diana and Tidal as the source (tidal control DAC/ No normalization of the volume) via Qutest USB and 16 hours of listening using Audio Quest Cinnamon USB...

Anyone using these with Abyss Diana’s? I see them paired together at shows and events often but not much feedback on the sound and headroom with planars.
