I think the volume issue of v1 is over exaggerated. It is practically the exact same as the Sony mdr-100aap which is probably a tiny bit lower than average, but nothing unusual.

I noticed that any movement of the jack when plugged in makes a crackling noise, never experienced this on cables included with other headphones. Is it normal for all h6?

There's been reports on Amazon.com that v2 has a worse fit than v1, more than 1 person said it, that's why I chose to go with v1 for 199 euro instead of v2 for 279. I'll see if it really suffers from low volume without an amp soon :-)

Saying that, I just bought a 1st gen black h6 from amazon.de in a lightning deal, impulse buy :(

If the sound isn't changed, what's the point of the v2? My guess is the person who replied doesn't know anything, just looked at specification and say its the same. It most likely is changed.
