DAP uses customized Android focused on sound quality, higher performance battery and dedicated power for audio component.

HD800S needs OTL amp. Not solid state amp. HD800S bass impedance is around 600 ohm btw. Far higher than 300 ohm impedance in 1khz.

Of course HD800S using amp like Feliks Envy you will get more than enough bass.

Clearly he said HD800S have better clarity and control which mean it's OBJECTIVELY a better headphone. If you like more bass, more fun than HD800S and more forward and intimate sounding headphone Composer is better. But that's SUBJECTIVE depend on listener taste.

Still it seems he prefer HD800S. Both are in his recommended list.

If you like bass why not try planar headphones ?
