I’m a little confused how vocals can sound both “shouty and distant”- SammyG

The Single DD: I've listened to over 20 earphones ranging in price from $30-$1500, and in just about every conceivable configuration of DD, BA, EST, Planar and BC. I've found each driver type has its pros and cons. A lot of earphones try to token the benefits of different drivers by using them...- SammyG

@kaavik47 I use CTM dual flanges. I find the deeper you seat them the more details are brought out. The sound and stage cylindrical ones that came with with set work well too, but I didn’t find them very comfortable.- SammyG

DUNU SA6 vs Thieaudio Oracle
I tend to agree. While in this hobby we often chase sets with the best technical abilities, these often don't sound natural. Personally I place a 90% emphasis on tonality and 10% on technical ability.- SammyG

DUNU SA6 vs Thieaudio Oracle
Nice comparison! I would have liked to see the Oracle MK2 keep a similar tuning to the OG and just repackage it in a smaller shell. I agree with HBB, they turned it into another IEM all together.- SammyG

From memory I think the Blessing 2 had a bit more forward mids and lower treble. The Dunu SA6 Ultra has more elevated bass and much better treble extension.- SammyG

Update: ADV Sound cleared inventory and it appears to now be discontinued. A shame, this is one of the most natural sounding units I've heard.- SammyG

Ie600 vs u12t and mest mk2
Passion for sSund made a pretty detailed YouTube video on this subject. Basically the MEST MK2 has excellent soundstage and magical moments, but can be incoherent and a bit distracting.- SammyG

Blessing 2 has a thicker nozzle. For me, the OG and Ultra are the most comfortable IEMs I've tried.- SammyG

LOL, they are a pretty incredible set. It makes the Moondrop S8 sweat. Honestly a kilobuck contender, if only they made more than 300 units. It'll be interesting to see what the resale price turns out to be.- SammyG

The discovery thread!
I'm excited to hear Super Review's take on this one. It appears to address the clipped treble that hurts the Blessing 2- SammyG

Detail retrieval and sound stage are significantly improved. Also I think the mids are a little more lively and less relaxed- SammyG

Nice review, I agree with you on the bass being the only weakness (still very good but not on the same level as the mids and treble).- SammyG
