Soon to be... LTA R2R DAC
My $150 ZeroZone DAC uses two. I couldn't resist, but it really does. 😀 Of course, it's not in the same league as this DAC.- Runrunsmithfly

Schiit Asgard 3 - Impressions Thread
I had a Bifrost 4490 and a Bifrost multibit. I liked them both. My original Modi Multibit with the firmware update brought the same sound to my system as the Bifrost multibit so I kept the Modi Multibit and still use it. I had a Modius AKM chip too and it was a nice DAC for a great price. I've...- Runrunsmithfly

Schiit Asgard 3 - Impressions Thread
I had an Asgard 2, it's a little cook stove. I had a Vali 2++ and it's a great little amp. For the Vahalla 2 I bought a pair of Amperex orange globes and called it good. They were recommended on the Vahalla tube rolling thread and I've been very happy with them.- Runrunsmithfly

Schiit Asgard 3 - Impressions Thread
I've downsized, I have to two pairs headphones now, Sennheiser HD600 and Beyerdynamic DT880 600 ohm. It's simple, I like the way the Vahalla 2 sounds. I like the way it sounds with my high impedance headphones. I had sold my low impedance headphones by the time I had bought the Vahalla 2 so I...- Runrunsmithfly

Schiit Asgard 3 - Impressions Thread
I sold my Asgard 3 when I bought my Vahalla 2. When I bought my silver Asgard 3 they were selling for $200 new and it was definitely the best money I'd spent on audio equipment going back to 1973. It's a great solid state headphone amp.- Runrunsmithfly

Schiit Valhalla 2 impressions
The Valhalla 2 really shows what an OTL tube amp can do with high impedance headphones.- Runrunsmithfly

Schiit Valhalla 2 impressions
I had a four cheap risers and I quit using them eventually and just went back to stock tube placement in the amp. I've owned Fisher and Harman Kardon tube receivers and amps and heat is just part of the game. As long as the vent holes in the amp are unobstructed I'm good to go.- Runrunsmithfly

Schiit Valhalla 2 impressions
My Vahalla 2 is probably the last headphone amp that I'll buy. I've been using it for several years now and no complaints. I'm using a pair of Amperex orange globes most of the time. If I want to change things up I'll put in a pair of JJ 6922 tubes. My old Modi Multibit with the firmware update...- Runrunsmithfly

Schiit Modi+ :: Impressions Thread
"Modi+ stacks seamlessly with a wide range of products to let you build your perfect system." Looks like they dropped the plus but still use it in the description of the Modi.- Runrunsmithfly

Schiit Modi+ :: Impressions Thread
I'm going to have to try one. I've only owned a Topping D50 and Modi 3E when it comes to Sabre DACs and I didn't care for either one. I believe that both of those use the ES9018.- Runrunsmithfly

Schiit Audio Bifrost 2
I'm still using my $250 Modi Multibit 1 with the firmware update. I had the MM2 but the old MM1 just works well with my Vahalla 2. I'll upgrade someday 😌- Runrunsmithfly
