Much appreciated suggestions for Electro/House closed cans
Hello everyone, I've been away from the hi-fi sene for quite a while, unfortunately, but not long enough for a mate of mine to ask for help picking up his first decent set of cans. All he asks for is that "they're good" (well, duh), around 50-80 euro (let's make it 60-100 USD), and...- Rosbife

E10 vs E17 in a nutshell?
Haha, thanks but this thread is pretty old, I'm now happy with my E10 (can't really say I notice much of a difference though :p)- Rosbife

Evshrug's "If I knew then what I know now" discussion journal.
Hey, Evshrug :) sorry I haven't said anything, but I was using my college mail for a while and Headfi mails that were redirected there were being filtered to spam. In regards to your second-to-last post on my thread, Undisclosed Desires is one of those songs that gets my eyes closed and...- Rosbife

What would you gift your girlfriend?
@Evshrug That sounds pretty refined but not entirely my style :) glad you got your amp sorted. I got my E10 a couple days ago so I'm pretty happy on that end too ^^ @LugBug1 Damn you make me jealous! Things like that always get us wondering whether we're not just overspending for no...- Rosbife

What would you gift your girlfriend?
@LugBug1 xD I sure hope she does. Nice forum signature quote btw. @Evshrug I facepalmed after I read your post, I'm obviously leaving it here since old threads are always my go-to for information. And no worries, I will PM you, been super fun for me as well ^^ And I will definitely...- Rosbife

What would you gift your girlfriend?
@Evshrug I can see your sleep schedule is off by your semi-random descriptions :D I wish I were more into photography so I could give you my impressions though. But I get the point. Also, on the AD700s, it's one pair of headphones I craved and craved, but ended up not getting because, apart...- Rosbife

What would you gift your girlfriend?
She really doesn't like the VModa staple, and while those DT 1350s do seem sweet, they have one too many digits ^^ Yeah the Uptowns are an outstanding choice, and I would have got them were it not for Ben's not replying to any of my mails and their slow shipping. They wouldn't be at my...- Rosbife

What would you gift your girlfriend?
Damn with that wording I too wish she doesn't xD it's not that I wouldn't spend more on her, even though we're both students and money is pretty short, it's just that I don't think it makes any sense to gift super high-end gear to someone who's been wearing the earphones that come with their...- Rosbife

Thought I'd leave a remark at the end too, since the thread has been updated, without duplicating the comment.- Rosbife

What would you gift your girlfriend?
@nkip Haha she wouldn't be able to since I haven't shown her the thread :P also, thing is. She does appreciate good headphones. Right now she is in front of me wearing my pair of Sennheisers (let's not get into what good headphones are; for her anything above stock applepods tend to be great)...- Rosbife

What would you gift your girlfriend?
@Evshrug Keep it up man, I'll be joining the market in a few years myself... I can already start to feel you. And yes, people do have a hard time accepting they have to compromise sometimes. They can get so picky. I can't really give an update. I've lost steam on this little project since I...- Rosbife

What would you gift your girlfriend?
Quote: Damn that's looking good ahah. Mine really isn't a fan of pink though :P I really considered the Monoprice but she would probably find them too bulky. I am probably going to end up with something the likes of a MDR-V6, or less bulky than that. Thing is, she wants full size, over ear...- Rosbife

The Audio Technica M50 studio monitor thread
Phew, that scared me. Thanks then, but I still find it really weird. At least I guess it'll make it easier for me when I start getting different pads. Loving them, by the way. The sound only really blew me away on a few particular genres, generally lows-oriented, even though it was clear in...- Rosbife

The Audio Technica M50 studio monitor thread
Guys, if anyone could let me know. Is it normal for the stock pleather pads to... rotate if you just hold them, not too tightly, and rotate your hand? Because mine are super loose, if I grab one side of the headphones they'll start rotating, which doesn't look like it should be happening on...- Rosbife
