Agreed. The weight prevents me from using it outside the house. I use my zx300 when traveling.- roadrat

PONO - Neil Youngs portable hi-res music player
I doubt yours has the problem. My aluminum one has held up fine. It's just a black and yellow rubberized ones that seemed to suffer this fate.- roadrat

PONO - Neil Youngs portable hi-res music player
Always worth a shot. Probably a Neil fan will be most interested. I had to throw my two black ones away because the rubberized plastic basically melted.... In the house. Melted is not the right word but something like that.- roadrat

Unfortunately, it's probably not worth much. It's still an incredible audiophile device but battery life and user interface are horrific. Tiny screen makes the experience slightly worse. My Pearl Jam one is on display on my stereo cabinet. I'd be happy to add yours to my display for $100.- roadrat

Can you tell me more about the MMCX connections? I am worried about damaging the IEMs. There's been some comments about connections that are too tight causing damage to the IE900 and the more common problem of loose connections falling out.- roadrat

I tried it. Good case. Very very tight and hard to get off. Correct, no top protection but also no hassle when changing IEMs- roadrat
