I'm definitely interested from NoCal, and would favor Irvine for completely personal reasons.  I like a mix of small rooms and larger rooms.  The small rooms are great for listening, but are not conducive to the social aspects of the event.

txlee, The Gamma 1 can be used with headphones directly if the output coupling caps are substituted....you will find this discussion elsewhere in this thread. It requires changing the standard C24D and C25D to 470uF caps. However, this is not a self powered DAC. It requires an external power...

Kranious, Regulated 5v wallwarts with the small tip are hard to find. I used the Jameco 164101 retipped with the Jameco 71192 plug.....if you do this, pay close attention to the polarity. The 164101 is a 500mW unit.
