So, I bought one second hand for around $18 US. Here they used to cost around $60 new. The unit was well conserved except for little scratches on the plastic. It got a sound that's kinda thin and a little "radiophonic" mids. For those who are wondering if it's a good idea to make the bass mod: yes. Even only taking the tape off can be a good idea if you're a heavy bass head. Other than the weak plastic build and the thin cable, I got no complains on the structure. I do plan on adding something to hold the bass and avoid vibration on the shells...
