Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless - Impressions Thread
It makes you wonder if they really spent any quality time wearing the thing during the design process.- RedHotFuzz

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless - Impressions Thread
Honestly, if the P7W had a more comfortable headband it would be the perfect set of Bluetooth headphones. I much prefer the leather padding to the fabric Apple has chosen. Fabric + skin/hair oils = gross. I wish B&W had gone wider & flatter with the headband. The wedge-like shape they used feels...- RedHotFuzz

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless - Impressions Thread
I’m glad you posted this as I’d been thinking about selling my P7W and getting the APM. I love the sound and build quality of the P7W but I hate the pressure on the top of my skull. It’s just so uncomfortable after a short period of time. I don’t like the extensive use of fabric on the APM but...- RedHotFuzz

They rarely roll out a product that hasn't been over-analyzed and over-tested over an extended period of time by a pack of tech fanatics. Compare that approach to many consumer electronics companies who just throw half-baked products at the market to see what sticks.- RedHotFuzz

I'm not concerned that someone knows I am wearing Apple headphones. I just think the bare aluminum at that size looks odd. Maybe more like cheap hearing protection from Home Depot than a high-grade audio headphone. Or a white label Chinese product on Amazon sold under two dozen unintelligible...- RedHotFuzz

The lack of visible branding on these is an odd choice, especially for Apple. The large expanse of bare aluminum on the cups just looks odd. A small Apple logo would help break up the space.- RedHotFuzz

AirPods Max
I refuse to consider any plastic-bodied over-ear headphone anything but low-end. Years ago I bought a pair of plastic Sony Playstation headphones that began to disintegrate almost immediately. In the end they were held together with zip ties before I tossed them in disgust. I would never drop...- RedHotFuzz

Honestly I wish Apple would develop an A/V receiver, something ultra-simple, that "just works," with Apple TV built-in and a minimum of useless other features. I hate the current market of not enough (soundbar systems) and too much (almost any A/V receiver sold today).- RedHotFuzz

All I want in life is my P7 Wireless sound without the skull-torturing headband, plus AirPods Pro ease-of-pairing. If the Apple cans fit the bill I am totally in (after a year or two when the price comes down).- RedHotFuzz

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones
So my question is, based on the persistent theme around B&W headphones year after year, is why is the company so inept at designing for comfort? I imagine their field testing for ergonomics goes something like this: “So how do they feel, Steve?” “Meh, they kinda hurt my...” “Stop right there...- RedHotFuzz

Yeah, I said replace the P7W headband with the PX7 headband, not the PX headband.- RedHotFuzz

I just can't get into those cloth-covered cups. Dust magnets, lint magnets, skin/hair oil magnets. P7W still superior. Now, if someone would figure out how to swap the torturous P7W headband with the PX7 (which I assume is more comfortable, because how could it not be?) I would be truly satisfied.- RedHotFuzz

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones
For any PX7 owners who have also owned the P7W, how would you compare the sound of the two? I love the sound of my P7W. A satisfying amount of bass without being overpowering. If not for the lack of comfort I would absolutely love them.- RedHotFuzz

Either that or a Ferengi. Definitely a case of style over function.- RedHotFuzz
