Does not work. I already decreased it to -9 right from the start, it does not affect the whitenoise in the background. This suggest the noise comes from somewhere else in the chain and not related to the dac signal or amplifier. That does not affect the noise floor at all.

It definitely is unfortunate. This would have been my perfect earpiece if it wasnt plagued with the backplate issue. From my experiments as far as i know, the backplate dont affect the sound much. And in theory it shouldnt since the BA should only vibrate air molecules within the wave guides...

Its not the fit, its the case. He backplate is the weakpoint of the earpiece which falls out easily. I was looking for an option to salvage the earpiece in the case the casing comes loose and was disappointed to find that i cannot reshell it.

Yeah, and im disappointed. My roxanne 2s are great, but the back plate is worrying. Its quite troubling to find the poor build quality with no saving grace of taking the whole unit and reshelling it.

Hey Andy, the performance series doesn't reflect the 20% off on the website for me, but the customs do. Is that normal?

I've checked with them, they DO NOT reshell full metal roxanne 2. Only the older universals v1.

The 20% discount from jh crew dont seem to reflect off the performance series properly at the moment. Works for customs though

Agreed, the current casing is just barely enough to keep the cables thanks to the pods. It didnt feel comfortable bending the cables of the pods almost immediately to keep it within the casing.
