ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |
Hello, I'm a small time cable maker and some people have requested 2.5mm balanced for the onkyo dpx1. The thing is I've done, from tip L+R+L-R- and the ak spec from tip R-R+L+L-. Both ways work with the onkyo player can anyone tell me why?- Raddiqal11

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
Best way is to tin the cable and the lead you're soldering it too. Just melt some solder onto them so that they have some solder. Then hold the cable with your hand press it against the lead and solder. I only use the third hand for gripping the jack and connectors. It will bite into my PE...- Raddiqal11

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
Yeap basically that's the materials. Make sure you have 1 wire for each connection. So at least 4. Tools Soldering iron around 350 degrees Celsius is what I use. Solder, just about any one will do unless you're willing to cash out more for wbt or mundorf solders. Heat shrink Hot glue A...- Raddiqal11

Any bass heads grow to prefer a more neutral sound?
Woah! Saw this thread and just had to chip in. I was and still am a basshead. Was really into the 'consumerist' sound. Big heavy bass. I enjoyed the Aurisonics ASG 1.3 and Rockjaw Arcana V2 greatly. I always thought they were almost perfect for me but i was wrong. My eyes was opened when I tried...- Raddiqal11

I will also recommend the train although you will have to transfer at tanah merah and subsequently walk to take a bus. It's probably the most reliable especially in terms of timings. Averaging 4-5 mins between trains!- Raddiqal11

Home-Made IEMs
It may be simple but the Research and Development behind it must have been extensive. It's not only the tube length but driver tuning. Different frequencies travel at different speeds and in order for all of the different frequencies from the different drivers to escape the sound tube at the...- Raddiqal11

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread
Hello! I'm in Singapore and I buy all my materials from Taobao. They have the best range and prices hands down. However A's you are in the UK you may need to rely on a freight forwarder. Shipping is not exactly expensive but more troublesome. However I do recommend Eidolic items. They are much...- Raddiqal11

Aurisonics AS/ASG-1 Plus Information and Discussions
I think across the board everyone would agree that although the 1.3 and 1.5 are good and very capable iems the 1+ should be the start. I owned the 1.3 and tested the 1+ and was delighted! The added ba solves one of the, if not the only caveat of the single dynamic line. The treble extension...- Raddiqal11

Balanced TRRS Connector on Future Hifiman IEMs
I see thanks for the reply. But I've tried it with the ihifi 770C player which does not support mic and still the same problem. I have to press on it to the side to get a connection. My only guess is that the jack is imperfect and the right ground sleeve is abit small and require some force to...- Raddiqal11

Balanced TRRS Connector on Future Hifiman IEMs
Hey guys. This is a super old thread but I feel here's the best place to ask this question. I'm a small time cable maker and recently made a balanced 3.5mm just like the hifiman jack. When I plug it into a normal unbalanced output I get almost no sound on the right side. It will only work when I...- Raddiqal11

DX50 Bug List, Wish List Fix
Hello all, I've searched for solutions but still experiencing the blank screen. Does anyone know the way to fix this? The one with safety mode included is difficult as 1) the screen is empty and 2) my lower volume button is very sensitive. It may detect 2 button presses.- Raddiqal11

DIY Cable Gallery!!
In my experience. They're quite prompt with their work. Should be shipped out in 2-3 days. However, it's coming to the Chinese New Year period now so you should expect some delays. I can't give you an estimate when it will arrive either. For me, I'm in Singapore so I have the ease of choosing...- Raddiqal11
