I've been offline for a while because my video card in my computer died on friday. I went out to a bar thursday night with a few friends and had a pretty good time. Thank you all for the birthday wishes.

I seriously doubt having preamp outs would have much (if any) effect on the SQ of the amp.

Unfortunately due to some things that have come up (no longer working, enrolled in college full time) I no longer can attend the meet. Sorry guys.

Stay away from Logitech. Their speakers are overrated pieces of crap. I would try to find a 5.1 Klipsch Promedia system. Its to bad Klipsch discontinued all the Promedia sets except for the 2 channel systems. I am pretty happy with my Promedia 2.1s. They certainly are not audiophile speakers but...

Yeah I'd say try different tubes. My limited experience with EH tubes has not left me with a very good opinion of them.

Another question for ya, what type of sound signature do you prefer? Bright and detailed, Aggressive and forward, Warm and laidback, etc.? The chaintech would be a good choice if you want to use an external dac. The chaintech drives suck but just get the latest ones from VIA.
