I use this combo, as Unison USB is switched to my PC, to play games. For music I use Roon on NAS and via Red the signal comes to Gungnir BNC. Cannot say anything wrong about this, I like how it sounds :).

Have just got message from Wildism, they have burned my RED for 200 hours. Tomorrow it will be shipped. Probably Kitsune will have them as well.

I have ordered one from Wildism 18 Jan, and have been told that only when next batch arrives I will be notified. So far, no news.

Hi Schiitizens, I have bought brand new Gungnir, and I wonder, if there is any benefit of using it together with HQ Player, for resampling to 192k? Or MCB filter makes it useless? If someone has good results with HQ Player, it would be great to share HQ Player settings. Thanks!

Not sure that I understand you. As I have said, I am complete noob in streaming, and I use HQ Player very basically - just drag and drop files to it. So, I assume it cannot be called "to feed it with NAS". But it is quite interesting option, and I do not mind to try (when my Red is in transit)...

Hi. I am asking for advice. I am rather new to streaming, all my rigs were around PC as a source of data to my DAC or DDC. Now I have Red on its way to me. What I have now: Windows PC, connected to router with ethernet DAC, connected to PC with USB NAS with tons of FLACs and DSD files...

I am torn between Gungnir and Yggdrasil LIM. In favor of Gungnir is of course price, weight and footprint. The thing that bothers me in Gungnir is VCXO -> VCO downgrade. How important is it? And I would be very grateful for your opinions about this choice.

I am confused. Does it mean that at 0 the signal from DAC is not amplified at all?

I had the same issue with my R1 2021 but with AISO and Foobar. All that I could do - reinstall drivers, different foobar plugins, installing different players (including Jriver) and nothing helped. I have cursed Amanero and NEVER will use it. XMOS is much stable, I use Singxer SU-2 as DDC and I...

We have come to agreement and I am waiting for PCM63 DAC from Abbas. It should be in my system in mid January. Will post my impressions of course.

I am sure that I will wait much longer that I could guess, but I am Ok with it :relieved: Never mailed Ali sellers about 'in stock or not in stock', and just kept patience. Last time that I had to wait when I bought Musician Aquarius, it was a long run, but with happy end.
