If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
wow, cannot believe I have not even been aware of new Etys SR-XR. Good on them for developing these legends further. I personally did not expect this, and am glad to see they have not gone down the route of multi drivers etc but rather refine an already superb product.(with options) ...- polyrhythm

I am on True Sound V1 and with Gapless turned on, there are indeed issues with rebooting. Never use DX50 with Gapless turned on usually but something needs fixing here. With Gapless turned off it works fine.- polyrhythm

are you talking about: Dx50 TRUE SOUND BY DOC2008? This is based off V2.3.0 DX90 firmware (shows D50 firmware 1.9.2 on system info). from Doc's thread: There is a version 2 of this with slightly more warmth (which I am currently testing (on modded D50) update: back on Version One for now...- polyrhythm

Hi Coil Good shared info, great. Have decided to solder in 6TPE100MPB (3528 case) rather than the 6TPE100MI (7343 case) the main difference being 25mΩ vs 18mΩ, after some reading I concluded that there will be no apparent difference in audio quality between the two (but hey, you can sleep...- polyrhythm

Always interested when people compare equipment sound. Did you listen at matched volumes and identical tracks and track positions on both?- polyrhythm

Regarding change of Dual Differential Amplifier I think this might be a worthy upgrade: JRC: MUSES8820E http://uk.mouser.com/ProductDetail/NJR/MUSES8820E/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMtxdzBvM0rKcdcB8W9ucxBQ8hRkSqFfJ7c%3d maybe it is not suitable though to be positioned in the circuit straight after the DAC...- polyrhythm

and you were absolutely right .........but you already know that:-) I incorrectly used the Right Mark Audio analyzer and used a generated swept tone produced by wavelab, this was not going to bring anything accurate! Could not leave this undone as I wanted to at least do a correct test...- polyrhythm
