Arcam rHead - fully Class A, fully discrete, ultra linear headphone amplifier
Hi John. I was looking for your review on this unit, bit it seems to be wiped from the internet. I am familiar with the THX789, Asgard 3, Magnius and Magni Heresy. Current headphones are the Focal Elex and HS650. Do you mind sharing your thoughts (again) on how the Rhead compares? Is it still a...- Poleepkwa

I do like where these adapters are going. The ES100 has been a great device (even with its quirks). Unfortunately Ido not have expandable storage on my phone. So I have been looking to get the Shanling M0 too complement my ES100 for local storage. @ClieOS , you have extensive experience with...- Poleepkwa

The rockbox toolmade quite a difference in volume on SE. I went from 70 on the volume down to 50. Thanks to those who brought this tool to my attention.- Poleepkwa

I think you misunderstood. 200mW@ 16 ohms will most likely be only a few mW's into 300 ohms ,considering the current supply power of a portable player- Poleepkwa

I think it is most likely just a software limitation - I would assume to much hassle to make changes to hardware ( same as with the cars with various outputs). The max output most likely into 16 ohms, whereas the HD660's is 150 ohm. Balanced output has no ohm value at all.- Poleepkwa

Thanks. If I understood correctly, the uncapping should mean output increases from 4,2 mW - 50mW in SE and 4,2 mW - 200mW in Balanced? Thats quite a bit.- Poleepkwa

You got a link? It seems rather difficult to get a case for the NW-ZX300. Any other suggestions? I just ordered a Sony ZX300 from amazon.co.uk, as that was a lot less expensive than anywhere else.- Poleepkwa

So probably not really worth it to "upgrade" as most my earphones are SE.- Poleepkwa
