New Leckerton UHA-6S MKII Portable Headphone Amplifier Announced (Update User Impressions Added July 20th 2012)
I also settle down with LME49990. It has great resolution, treble and staging. The bass might need more weight, but it's ok with my IEM. Sometimes I think it is a little loose, but compared to the more "refined" yet "confined" sound of 627 or 797, this sounds more natural to me.- penchant

Sure I understand and I have been using it ever since it was available to DX50. In order to install RB we need CWM recovery. CWM is not a standalone installation. The link you sent me (which is the one we all get RB from) says get CWM from DOC2008's firmwire, an update.img file that has CWM...- penchant

You mean reinstall the update.img from Firmware_DOC2008 for the CWM and then load RB.zip? That will bring it back to 1.2.8. Am I missing anything here?- penchant

I have no issue doing all these. The question is how to install RB after 1.5.0 is loaded.- penchant

Hi Olddude, I didn't get it here. The CWM recovery we used before came with DOC2008's firmware (an update.img file based on 1.2.8). Once I come back to stock recovery and flash with stock 1.5.0, how can I install the CWM recovery again? My understanding is that we have to wait for DOC2008 to...- penchant

I'm also running Win 7 but I encountered the signature issue as well. The driver was installed but Windows would not let it work. I have to disable the driver signature enforcement to get the DAC to work. It's similar to Win 8; just press F8 when starting windows and the option is right there...- penchant

Hi, is there a way to have the stock 1.5.0 with Rockbox? If not, DOC2008's 1.5.0 based ones are also ok. It seems these don't come with CWM recovery. How does the "ROCKBOX for FIRMWARES BASED on v. 1.5.0" work? Quote:- penchant

New Leckerton UHA-6S MKII Portable Headphone Amplifier Announced (Update User Impressions Added July 20th 2012)
I had a similar experience with OPA627 and AD797 as you and I don't really like their sound. Today I just put in a pair of LME49710's (borrowed from another cheap diy amp) and I love them! I don't know much about opamps and I am not even sure if they fit this amp (I just checked the power...- penchant

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
In most cases I don't need a faster scrolling, except when I am setting freqency of a higher EQ band. I tried to set the scroll speed to max (17) and it did help some.- penchant

One more: the lag when you press any of the three buttons. This bothered me the most for some reason. And I truely like the EQ. I've saved many EQ settings for different headphones/genres/modes. It is as convenient at using foobar now. The power/back button still doesn't bring me to the...- penchant

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
It costed me about $350 for parts and materials, and three months to put them together and tune them up. The acrylic shell needs UV curing and might not be available for many. You can use some other materials instead and manually make a shell. Or you can start with silicone but then you have to...- penchant

cooperpwc, I didn't do anything to that part and found it functions the same way as the original theme: 3x3 grid as you have known. All themes I've tried on DX50 work the same way. I think these touch functions are build into the firmware and is independent of custom themes. You may need to...- penchant

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
A little off topic but... I started from sketch. The place I work happens to have all tools and equipments I need (this is very rare I know and I don't work for a CIEM company), and I am free to use whatever I need, so I thought maybe I can just make one pair by myself. The shells are...- penchant
