Violectric HPA V280 - balanced headphone amp - impressions and discussion thread
I use the V280 with a Hugo TT thru balanced cable and is really sweet on my LCD3, it has been an amazing upgrade when compared with LCD3 directly from the TT. Did not test the RCA vs Balanced as these would be different cables and the RCA of the Hugo goes to main system preamp (Conrad Johnson...- peabreu

Focal Elear - Impressions Thread
You may be right, I can't argue that , but in my case the TT is a given so the Headphones have to do it or not. And in this case, for my taste, it does not.- peabreu

Focal Elear - Impressions Thread
While searching for a new pair of headphones I tested the Elear today (a burned in unit) with my Hugo TT and have to say it is great, especialy for house and electronica due to its quickness. It is in fact a very fast reponse unit...sometimes too fast, after a while was already reducing the...- peabreu

HUGO with FOSTEX TH900/SilverDragon vs. HUGO with McIntosh MHP1000
Funny, have been trying a LCD-X with the Hugo TT and for more that I try liking it and keeping the LCD can't help feeling that they are not at all engaging. I feel the bass is a bit strange. It goes low but the main focus (impact) is not that low and the highs are somehow limited, a bit like one...- peabreu

Well not difficult at all with the T400 "isolation" model. Sure bit by bit with small twist movements but did not even need any lube. Works great.- peabreu

Bose QuietComfort 20 discussion thread
Latelly found the missing link with these earphones. While buying some Comply tips for other earphones I discovered that the "Isolation T400" do work with these Bose QC20 and man is it an improvement? yes, yes, yes, even better isolation and way better sound. Highly recommended. The caveat are...- peabreu

Fiio X5 3rd gen || 2x AKM 4490 || Balanced Out || DSD || DXD | DTS | Android || Dual Card Slot
cant understand the issues with Tidal offline content to SDCard, I have been doing that for ages in my XperiaZ without issues at all, so why is it different in any other Android devices. I belive manufacturers should be aware of the growing importance of streaming platforms. I am sure I am not...- peabreu

Portable DAP for Tidal
I did not think about that possibility for the mojo+poli, can be interesting. You may be right regarding Android 4.2.2, it is a potential limitation of the Sony...will wait and see for the Fiio 5iii. Thanks.- peabreu

Portable DAP for Tidal
Thanks for the reply, will have to check the Sony or wait for the Fiio 5iii, in theory looks greta if it works. The poly plus mojo does not appeal, actually not even the mojo because then things become a mess interms of logistics...cant really bother with more than 1 machine solution...I am...- peabreu

Portable DAP for Tidal
Cant understand how DAP manufacturers do not see this as an important feature (great sound and very convenient solution), I do 90% of listening time by Tidal and would love to find a one portable machine solution to play offline (planes, low coverage areas, etc..) without glitches... I use this...- peabreu

Bose QuietComfort 20 discussion thread
Sound is nothing special but these phones are a god send for constant flights...even very long flights now are much less tiring...reduced my overall flight fatigue in more than 50%. On a side note their sound is nothing special as used as I usually do directly from my Xperia but recently tried...- peabreu
