Probably the best audio dollars I ever spent. The change to my system was not subtle. I LOVE my new DAC. 

I inadvertently sent a DSD noise signal through my HA-1 when connecting a new DAC.  I now have static on the right channel.  I'm guessing I blew out the analog section of the HA-1. 

Totally unacceptable that the manufacturer will not respond to any emails sent.  I have a dead AK240 that I'm using as a paperweight.

How can I feed the 2Qute directly to mono blocks without a volume control?

I have an AK240 that was overheating when playing DSD files.  As simplistic as this recording is, nothing made it hotter than this DSD recording.  In fact it eventually shut down and died playing the album one day. 

I agree and I never see him mentioned in these lists. 

Yup I figured it out. It only passes DSD through the USB port. Sounds fantastic. 

Is the only way to pass DSD to the HA-1 via the USB//DAC connection? I have a BD-105 connected to the HA-1 via digital coax and this device below suggested by oppo to pass content with DRM via HDMI from the BD-105 and Toslink to the HA-1...

I'll have to look into getting a portable amp. I had an RSA protector and really could tell the difference so I dumped it.  Not like the oppo HA-1 difference.  What portable amp has a lot of juice/punch?  The Protector went high in volume but the 846's with the HA-1 sound like my 2-chanel system...

Just picked up an oppo HA-1.  I can't believe the difference with the 846's!  I bought the oppo to go with my LCD-3's coming tomorrow and wasn't expecting the huge difference in sound with the 846's.  My listening to date with the 846's has been limited to my AK240.
