XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player
Instead of leaving my X3 lying around, I thought I will see if anyone on here would give it some love. Happy to post images of device and I think I still got the packaging, less screen protector. Feel free to PM me an offer. :)- oscarcao

XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player
Finally got a response from PayPal. Looks like there's nothing they can do as the 20 day limit to make a claim had expired. So the advice I was given and would like to pass onto others is: even if the seller sends you a tracking code. Escalate the dispute into a claim before the 20 day limit...- oscarcao

I listen to mostly pop, rock, and ballads, so yeah... all fast paced songs. Not into Jazz. After reading your response, I thought of a very good analogy to the feeling. It's like, you're running on a tread mill and your normal pace is 44.1KM/h... but your treadmill doesn't allow for the...- oscarcao

oic. I didn't post it up for that reason. Was merely proving the few who spoke out earlier in this thread about 'how great the Penon service was, etc'. OK. Have decided you are right. I shouldn't just walk away and leave it. Not everyone is in a position like me that can just write it...- oscarcao

XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player
OK. I've been listening to the X3 for a day or so. Now I have a clear idea of the X3's sound. The sound is very rich compared to onboard DACs. However, due to 99.9% of my files being 44.1kHz 16bit FLAC files, the pitch issue is very prominent after a few hours of listening. At first, I thought...- oscarcao

Here you go. As mentioned in an earlier post, it's the rattling noise that's the more annoying issue.- oscarcao

I think it looks more like a software than hardware issue. Might be better to wait for the new firmware to come out. I wouldn't send it back. You'll end up with a mint bar like me (one of those candy bar things, that make rattling noises when you move it slightly - my "replacement" makes...- oscarcao

Who knows. They only acted once I raised the PayPal dispute. Anyways, there's always a bright side to everything. Now I don't have to worry about screen scratching, or getting some protective case, or generally caring too much about it. It's a write-off. :)- oscarcao

Yup. There were some minor scratches on the top of the player. So sent it back to them to replace... instead they were hoping that I'll forget what the player looked like if they delayed the return of the player... so 2+ months later... I have the same player returned to me... scratches in...- oscarcao

Picked up my 'so-called' replacement today. Well played Penon Audio. You guys did a wonderful job of wrecking the player more. Sanding down the nice curves on the top of the player to try and remove the light scratch marks. Sadly, the deep ones still remain. Won't bother wasting another...- oscarcao

I wouldn't recommend downloading off third-party sites. The risk of virus, etc. is not worth it imo.- oscarcao

My replacement has reached the middle point. It's now in the sorting phase of the middle-man, so should be here in a week or two. Com'on devs, release that new firmware before I get my replacement! Where do I go and cheer them on?- oscarcao
