Will ASUS come out with a Essence replacement or is the Xonar Essence line discontinued indefinitely?

It's 2020 and the problem is still around. Read a lot of the solutions but none of them seem to permanently work. This high pitched sound happens on any platform, whether I'm listening to music or watching a video, doesn't matter if I'm using program or streaming audio/video. However it happens...

Did a search and all the highly recommended ones are discontinued like the MDR-E888 and Sennheiser MX880/980/985. I'm looking specifically for earbuds with more emphasis on bass, not IEMs. It's been really difficult searching for earbuds because many sites confuse earbuds with IEMs.

Thinking of picking up a set of ATH-WS99. Having indulged myself in headphones for the past few years. Is the bass tight and refined or all over the place?

Ah, yes I know direct sound will allow all sounds to be played. I was curious how my old PCI X-Fi Fatal1ty (Audio Creation Mode) do ASIO AND allow system sounds to be played at the same time.

I'm not saying there's something wrong, I was wondering if I can get other sounds to play while utilizing ASIO.

I have a few FLAC albums with sample rate of 48KHz but most are 44.1KHz. I use Winamp for my audio playback. Correct setting in Audio Center should be set to 48KHz if I want 48KHz playback of 48KHz capable tracks?   I have the ASIO plugin installed in Winamp, I noticed with Xonar's version...

Yeah you're right I don't think I'll be using GX.   I'm totally clueless when it comes to using a equalizer, I've been too comfortable with simple BASS & TREBLE adjustments to learn how to use a full equalizer.   Let me know if I got this down,   Xonar's equalizer looks like this, 30...

Maybe I should start a new thread for this since this isn't about the H6 card anymore   Looking back, I wasn't sure what the other installation setting were for, I just went with the default installation shown. What are the other configurations like Low DPC Latency, C-Media Panel and C-Media...

Ok I just installed the ST today and everything seems to be working fine.   Just one thing, I keep hearing this 'clicking' sound whenever I switch channels from 2 speakers -> Headphones and whenever I restart or turn on my computer. Is this normal?
