    Audio-GD Master 9

So far it is actually interesting to make these kind of comparison. Both XLR and ACSS have their strength as I have started to understand how they each sound, it comes down to preference. XLR is very responsive, and feels technical superior with transients. ACSS is “slower” more sustained...

honestly I wish they were no difference... - Swapped R1N to XLR. Initial impression not promising. Hoping it settles in 2 days. R8H2 has been swapped to ACSS/silver I will spent the next week, in hopes there is no difference, trust me, I hate how good ACSS is. R8H2 is much better performing...

    HiFiMan Susvara

Yes the storage, the controller, the chips on the SSD/NVME, plays a huge role! Thats why I am in love with the old Samsung 980 Pro over any EVO. The newer 990 Pro should be even better. EVO is neutral sounding, 980 Pro has better texture on guitars. Thicker, more analog, sweeter. You said...

Ohh yeah I meant ACSS output connectors which is for audio-gd amps....so no fully in that term  However it seems still the whole amp is designed around ACSS.

Advice: Also do NOT put any headphone on speaker taps. It is soo, a stupid idea, and only show the weakness of findings, if there is any, from given experience. I will not tell you why, because I discovered just today why people do such ignorance. Trust me it is all in the source. Every secret...

HE-9 LE is good, thanks to its fully ACSS/current design for hungry headphones both preamp and headamp. I do enjoy it with Susvara. For me it is endgame headamp for every headphone. Remarkable even with HE400SE. The cheapest DAC sounds amazing on it. Even the 200dollar ones. It just unlocks...

    HiFiMan Susvara

Holy moly! this new ISCSI setup, made me realize Susvaras biggest weakness is its biggest strength! - Dayum. I am keeping this for myself! I love you ISCSI:hearts:

I did actually think of it as I wanted to downsize. If I could compare it with Enleum 23R it would be interesting. Even more interesting when they get the DAC ready for the ENLINK(Like the ACSS) input on the 23R. I just hope they decide on R2R:L3000: That combo would be the most anticipated...

    HiFiMan Susvara

I just found out how you store your files reflects in quality of the sound on Susvara. It is bigger improvement than filters and cables. ROON users. unfortunately are depended on the SMB for NAS/Fileservers. I could not find any support for ISCSI It is no secret if you deep google SMB or NFS...

No, I have never had that experience, but I am still gonna go further since I get improvements. My biggest improvements is Network devices: switches/sfp and SAN/iSCSI.

Yes it is Block level based not file level based as SMB/NFS, meaning as open and manageable as internal storage. At first day, initial 30min, I did not notice anything. I assumed it was make-belief. It was like good timing on the overall sound... The difference is not as noticeable on solo...

How Do You Store Your Digital Music?

That is still SMB or what kind of sharing type are you referring to? SMB/NFS does not come close to ISCSI. I see most routers have SMB...sorry not gonna happen. Noticeable better with ISCSI :) -- Furthermore putting that kind of unnecessary work on a router will degrade overall performance of...
