Philips Fidelio X2?!
Update 2: First pair (from the previous photo) on the left, second pair from a local retailer on the right. Get your QC-crap together, Philips. (Sorry about the horrible lighting/focus - didn't have time to set it up properly) EDIT: Obviously aimed to get the center clear, where the...- Nygaard

Philips Fidelio X2?!
Update: I contacted Philips Denmark and received the following answer (translated with Google): "Thanks for your mail, It is not something I have any information on, at least not yet. However, I can say to them we have here looks quite fine, if it is a mistake on you will be able to get...- Nygaard

Philips Fidelio X2?!
Thank your for the suggestions, but I will not try fixing it myself. They are brand new and I can just return/exchange them. The aluminum "strip" is not gaping enough to apply glue anyway, as the issue is bulging in several spots. As you can see, the edge is uneven and shiny in some places...- Nygaard

Philips Fidelio X2?!
Has anyone received a part that DOESN'T have the aluminum bezel issue on the left cup? Got mine yesterday and can (sadly) confirm that the issue persists...- Nygaard

QC25 failed - what now?
If there's an "ultimate noise isolation/cancellation" thread going, I'd appreciate a link. I have searched the forum but not found anything interesting..- Nygaard

QC25 failed - what now?
s I'm afraid it's necessary... A pair of Etymotic's might be worth a shot if there simply isn't any good passive + active NC IEM's on the market. What makes me a little concerned though is their design. I haven't tried Etymotic's - but from experience with earplugs (of similar...- Nygaard

QC25 failed - what now?
I have a problem... I am extremely sensitive to noise and need absolute silence (besides the music) to be able to concentrate on work. I gave the QC25's a try and they didn't do the trick. Great comfort and build quality, acceptable sound quality, very impressive low-frequency NC - but it's...- Nygaard

NEW! Bose QC25 2014
To each their own, I guess. From what I understood from the InnerFidelity review (on YouTube), he is comparing them to other ANC headphones - not "real" headphones. They might stack up well against Beats and that sort of rubbish, and have a better noise reduction circuit than Audio Technica...- Nygaard

NEW! Bose QC25 2014
By that logic a tinny cellphone speaker can play music as well... The reason that I'm saying that they can't play music is, that in my personal opinion, they can't. They can reproduce sounds and remove a lot of low frequency noise, but they can't play music. Music is art, emotions, intimacy...- Nygaard

NEW! Bose QC25 2014
The AH-D600 is definitely a bass heavy headphone - and at times, too bass heavy for my taste. The bump around 10kHz (which a lot of other good headphones has) is also audible, but to my liking, Not perfect for every genre, but it suits my general music taste well. Point: I am perfectly aware...- Nygaard

NEW! Bose QC25 2014
So it isn't just me I left them playing for a few days to make sure that they were properly burned in - just in case. The sound might have opened up a bit, but that could just as well be placebo and/or too much switching back and forth between different headphones. In the end they had to...- Nygaard

NEW! Bose QC25 2014
I know what you mean regarding hearing a hiss when there is absolute silence, but that is not what I am talking about. The QC25 (or at least my pair) makes a low, constant "white noise" hiss that I definitely don't get from my Denon, Sennheiser, Jaybird or any other headphones/IEM's. It is not...- Nygaard

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
Correct, "series". That means that they are different products aimed at different target groups - not that the IE800 is was supposed to take the IE80's place. It was just an addition to the series. As time goes by these products are replaced by newer and upgraded versions; e.g. the Momentum is...- Nygaard
