It has arrived safely, thanks to Audiophonics. I picked up a 1Tb sd card this morning locally (no more postal services for this stuff thank you) and I am now loading it up with music. Of course I put Tidal and Bandcamp on there as well... Happy I remembered I needed the developer mode for USB...

Ah, it was an A brand (Sandisk) and not cheap at that. The shop is highly reliable, this time the postal services messed up big time. I try to stay away from Amazon as much as possible to support my local stores anyway. Thanks for the advice though, most appreciated.

Thanks, appreciate the reply. No it 's out of warranty, this was one of the first. But it's OK. These things are not built to last forever and I want the BT 5.0 upgrade as well. I have the volume app installed now and I won't sink any money into this when looking for an m3u.

I love my M3X, however the volume control stopped working, the wheel can be used for on/off switching, but rotating it no longer up/downs the volume, which is pretty annoying. I can now only used it with a bluetooth headphone / IEMs. Ufotunately the 4.2 BT is not that great so it cuts in and out...

So after extensive testing and a lot of plugging in and out of ports, the issue is solved. It is the USB ports on my Mac that cause it. I have since switched to the Thunderbolt /USB c port and the problem is gone.
