Dunu Mirai - A Collaboration between Headphones.com, Dunu and Precogvision
Just that it’s really just plastic/resin and most iems I’ve tried around 1000 bucks have been more premium/solid feeling and usually made of metal. Also seen a couple issues with the connector socket for the 2 pin cable cracking and getting loose, but no issues with my unit. I’m very happy with...- Nick76

Dunu Mirai - A Collaboration between Headphones.com, Dunu and Precogvision
Yep, my Mirai is the only IEM I find myself reaching for over over-ears. I have tried so many IEMs in the past, and even had some quite a bit more expensive, but the Mirai has been my favorite sounding of all. Agreed that the color choice and the build could have been a bit better, but I forget...- Nick76

Selling my Schiit Asgard 2. Wonderful sounding pure Class A amp with no feedback in High gain, just like a baby Mjolnir 3. Gets hot so you know it sounds good. Just selling off some gear that's not in my main setup. Great condition, works perfect. Comes with power cable, but without original...- Nick76

Schiit Yggdrasil Impressions thread
Got an update to my yggy GS2 that had the panel lockups and input selection problems. It appears it was firmware-related. Both GS2 units I have owned had the problem, so maybe there’s a new firmware as of very recently? Or I just got very unlucky with whoever put together my units. Maybe they...- Nick76

Schiit Yggdrasil Impressions thread
I am much more of a fan of the newer chassis style, but not much of a fan of all the software bugs that seem to have been introduced with the additional features of the Yggdrasil+ chassis. Adding NOS/mute functions seems to have triggered a bunch of issues with both my GS2 units that I've had...- Nick76

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Any chance anyone knows what size of chassis screws the Asgard 2 used? Just flipped mine over for the first time and looks like I got sold one missing 4 screws on the bottom. Gonna take this chance to replace them all with black screws to match the stealth vibes of the Bifrost. Don't feel like...- Nick76

ZMF Aegis Official Thread
I've been wondering the same thing, but the Aegis with the Yggy A2 at Canjam NYC in the ZMF room sounded phenomenal. I don't recall if it was connected directly with RCA, or some sort of XLR to RCA conversion but maybe someone else can chime in. It was definitely the best sounding combo of any...- Nick76

Bifrost 2 OG, NOT 2/64. Recently purchased this locally to compare to Bifrost 2/64, but prefer the 2/64. Functions perfectly, has the newest firmware installed that enables NOS mode. Has the original RED DAC board with the Analog Devices chip if that matters. Some mild cosmetic signs of...- Nick76

Schiit Yggdrasil Impressions thread
Schiit never pays for shipping back to them, in the case of returns or repairs. I just had to pay to ship my Mjolnir 3 to California for a repair under warranty. Shipping back to the buyer is paid for by them after the repair though. Just have to pay to get it to them to fix it.- Nick76

Schiit Yggdrasil Impressions thread
Welp, GS2 going in for a checkup. Guess all those bugs I was having are not, in fact, normal. Who woulda thought? Hope this fixes it. Especially since this is the second GS2 I've had with the panel lockup bug. With my luck it'll happen again after paying 60 bucks to ship it back to CA from NJ...- Nick76

Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements
Interesting, too bad Bathys had the most uncomfortable headband I've ever used on a headphone. Could not tolerate the hotspot on the top of my head from that thin thing. Also don't think the portable-leaning build of the bathys suits a proper passive headphone priced at $549 and $699. Too much...- Nick76
