Exactly my sentiments, it’s all about synergy and my equipment with 807’s is displaying great synergy and at a great price which adds icing to the cake.

Looking forward to you reporting back about those 807’s I might treat myself to,a few more pairs .

Are you sure? Yes Base is the same BUT the smaller tube 5B/254A has a smaller top hat and the standard 807 cap was loose and did not stay in place, the proper adapter is a really snug fit for the smaller cap.
