What the heck is a E90CC? Do not use that tube, I've never even heard of it.    If you mean E80CC that is ok. Just trying to clarify so folks don't get the wrong tube and throw it in there that would harm the DAC

Agreed, the tube damper is the better option, the tube shield is really there in case someone might live close to a radio tower or some piece of equipment throwing out strong RFI.

You also really need to substitute that stock tube. It will do but there are so many other choices for a relative small amount of coin to also bring out the best in the DAC.
