Is there a noticeable difference between USB 1 and USB 2? Mine just straight up doesn't work in USB 2 mode for some reason.

Sweet. I have my powered speakers going through the dac and they sound decently better. I would say they have become more clear sounding. Lost a bit of distortion too. I definitely notice the effect a good DAC has though, so I'm interested in the Polaris. In what ways does the polaris beat the m9xx?

Are there any glaring errors that you notice? What headphones do you use out of it? I went from a cayin c5 to the m9xx and it was an ear opening experience.

I was wondering if anybody's heard the he audio jade through this amp. I can't find much info or impressions of the jade so I haven't found any pairings of these two

When you access the menu, you can see if your amp is using DSD input by scrolling as far to the right as possible. This last menu item tells you the current input rate. it'll say dd or something like that. if it's a number, it's not using DSD.

    Have you ever noticed a difference in dithering algorithms? Or in digital volume control in general?

I most definitely did and I was on the phone and online chat for hours in the last two days, trying to make that happen, but they were resolute. Luckily some nice lady signed for me while I was at work today. I was ready to get my refund when it was shipped back to massdrop, but now that's it...

Oh this is more UPS' fault than Massdrop. I wish I would've told them not to require a signature earlier. I'll try to retrieve them, but if they get sent back to Massdrop, I'll just get a refund and try something else. Plenty of options out there.
