Schiit Lyr causing a DAC overheat issue, thoughts?
I would have thought it would be easy to find a small two shelf thing. You could always buy a couple of those small Cubby hole type cubes and put one on top of another, also, if you type "heat shield" into google, there should be quite a few automotive and industrial solutions to the problem.- LostWeekend

Focal Spirit One Headphones
This thread had me digging my Focal spirits out and giving them another go, also, some proper burn in time. Initially they sounded a bit thin and lifeless but after about thirty hours they were communicating nicely but with a bit too much treble (smooth treble) but not to the point of...- LostWeekend

Sennheiser HD360 Pro = PX360?
Quote: But they do. Under professional headphones. First click on "professional audio", then professional headphones and headsets and finally professional headphones. Why are headphone manufacturers always setting up their websites like this? Why not have everything on...- LostWeekend

a cartridge question
Sorry i couldn't be of any real help. Maybe the stylus needs cleaning or to be re-tipped but this kind of ware is usually gradual, so does that mean that if the cartridge has gone wrong, that it's the generator? Or maybe the cat might have knocked out of alignment some of your settings or...- LostWeekend

a cartridge question
How exactly did you rearrange the equipment? At risk of being made fun of, I find the further away from the front edge of the platform that stuff sits, the less energy I seem to get from it. Something to do with the effects of vibration.- LostWeekend

Did i made a mistake? Need clarafication on Graham slee solo models.
It looks to me like you bought the SRGII. The site you showed shows three versions of the solo, the SRGII with its switchmode power supply, The SRGII with optional PSU1 linear supply (these are really the same amp with different power supplies) and the Ultralinear. I don't think they...- LostWeekend

NEW T+A DAC 8
I think it's multibit on the bass because it's mathematically easy for resister ladder to deal accurately with just the bass but if it has to render the whole signal then the typical 0.1% error from each resister becomes an problem. The treble and mids are handled by the d/s part of the chip...- LostWeekend
