  I know it's a bit late, but did you bought a sony after all ? The MDR 1R is the most comfortable headphone I ever wore, but be warned, the pads are a bit shallow, so if you have bigger ears, it will tuch the speaker grille

Thanks for the the tips! :) OPPO Smartphones is using the same approach, just didn't know that OPPO Digital uses the same business strategy :) Will push them for it, maybe it will be useful, that I will be officially brand ambassador of OPPO smartphones from Friday :)

Actually Sony changed the pads on the 1A, and all the time I tried on for 20-30 minutes the 1A, I definitely felt it inferior in comfort to the 1R.
