HiBy RS6 Android DAP - Snapdragon 660, 4+64GB, 5” full HD, Darwin R2R, FIR, NOS, MQA 16x, copper chassis
Looks great! I’ve had mine for almost a year and it is a true workhorse. I literally have it playing music 24/7 in my place of business. There’s something comforting about the way it produces sound. So I hooked it up to an integrated amp with speakers. It’s such a non-fatiguing sound. We...- LAmitchell

HiBy RS6 Android DAP - Snapdragon 660, 4+64GB, 5” full HD, Darwin R2R, FIR, NOS, MQA 16x, copper chassis
HibyRS6 owner for 8 months checking in here… I’ve enjoyed keeping up with the posts on this thread. It’s really cool the way this little device has captured our hearts. I love that R2R goodness and all the other things it brings to the party. I’m thankful to listen to hours and hours and...- LAmitchell

HiBy RS6 Android DAP - Snapdragon 660, 4+64GB, 5” full HD, Darwin R2R, FIR, NOS, MQA 16x, copper chassis
Got it two weeks ago. I’m very happy with it. Thanks to all who have posted reviews and comments that helped me make the decision. I was using an LG V30 as my source before this. As good as the LG V30 was, the Hiby RS6 is wayyyyyy better. I actually use the Hiby RS6 as a source for my...- LAmitchell

Review by 'LAmitchell' on item 'Campfire Audio Lyra II'
Lyra II First impressions... Love the look, the feel, the size Fit comfortably in my ears Sound good out of the box no warm up time. Compared to Comet... Ah, the bass while not deep is still so satisfying Yes, definitely a more analog feeling/sound, although by no means do these make me think...- LAmitchell

Review by 'LAmitchell' on item 'Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee'
I started in the headphone game with an HD650.... Heckuva lot of money for my first "real" headphone... I enjoyed it, but would have been happier if the HD58x was available back then (2010)... Why? Because the HD58x is so easy to drive... right out of my laptop/phone works just fine...- LAmitchell

AZ-ATE vs 1MORE TRIPLE (My journey begins!)
IEM’s??? Why would I ever want to shove something in my ear?? Well, that’s what I used to think, until I tried some decent IEM’s... I like the idea of portable audio that’s small and personal... I mean there is SO MUCH JOY in these tiny little things... and my journey has just started...- LAmitchell

Thinking of trying out vinyl?
My love for vinyl ebbs and flows... Lately I've been looking at the stacks of records around the music room thinking "do I really need all these records? Do I even have time to listen to them?" And when I do play them, I find myself thinking things like "I wish I could afford a better...- LAmitchell

New budget modern stereo receiver or used pretty high rated rotel receiver?
Hi yosi, Since the Rotel has bass and treble controls, you can do the loudness function "manually" by cranking those a little bit :) I'm with ya on the low-volume thing... it's more important for me to have a system that sounds great at low volumes - LAmitchell

Thinking of trying out vinyl?
I think you could get a fun TT for $200... I would get one that captures my heart just by looking at it. Something about staring at a turntable while the record spins is part of why I like vinyl. If after a year, you find yourself curious about what a larger investment will get you, you...- LAmitchell

Thinking of trying out vinyl?
Navar, Glad you commented, as I had totally forgotten I once said that... Turns out that I did get into vinyl, and I'm on my second turntable! I just moved out a vintage Thorens TD-160... To make room for a SOTA Comet... I wanted to find out what all the vinyl fuss was about... And...- LAmitchell

My Sota Comet's Wobbly Platter... Help!
WOW!! Here it is SEVEN YEARS since this thread was started, and it is exactly the help I needed :) Very happy with my SOTA Comet... didn't realize a little oil could make a difference. I guess that's one of the things that is so fascinating about TURNTABLES... everything affects the sound...- LAmitchell

Cool thread. Was just thinking about going into vinyl recently when I came across this. Scares me, thinking it could be more addictive than head-if lol- LAmitchell
