    As you've said, it's old. That's really the only reason. It's still a fantastic set, probably my favourite. I even bought a new pair a year or so ago as I used to own them when they came out but had traded them off and always missed the sound.

    Thanks, I'll give it a go. Currently using blacks with no filters. I got the Galaxy S21 and lack of 3.5mm gave me an excuse to buy a bluetooth DAC as I find the Dragonfly Cobalt a bit inconvenient with my phone. Got the Fiio BTR3 and wow I wish I bought this earlier, it's replaced DFC for me...

    Yeah tested with Spotify and Youtube and made sure volume is set to maximum in both, output from DFC is extremely quiet in all apps and with system sounds too. Same here I used it at 2/100 most of the time too, now with volume maxed everywhere possible it's too quiet.

    Having a strange volume issue with DFC. Prior to a couple days ago I had to keep my windows volume < 10 or the DFC was too loud. Now even if I set windows volume to 100 it's still too quiet? Volume is fine when using my phone. Is anybody aware of what might be happening?

    @Darkeye999H Describing sound as "analog" or "digital" is meaningless as earphones are analog devices. Literally every sound going to an earphone is analog. There is no such thing as "digital" sound.

    You're beating a dead horse. This has been proven time and time again. If you have 2 cables that meet the requirements of the system, then there will be no measurable difference between them. This isn't some objective thing where we can all have our own opinions, cables just dont affect sound...

    Yes I always enjoy looking at local hifi sites and seeing cables for many thousands of dollars. You gotta be quite special to think that price range is reasonable lmao. Cost of materials and labor is so small that any of these cables can be homemade at a fraction of the cost
