Well... the looks doesnt matter for most of the audiophiles buying the Anedio I guess. Its the inside that matters...  I think the love or hate thing of the D1 comes from the blue lights left and right and everywhere. What I dont like about it is the mate silver finish and the blue LED display...

Someone of you interested in a used Anedio D2? Warranty expired but still 7 years of service left. I am selling mine... the journey continues... =) ... you can find it also on ebay.de. go for hifiman... i use them too... they are the best you can get except originals... 

thats for sure... i tested them all with the same pads and the same settings... same music and so on...still think 600 ohm are the best... =D

I think the 600 Ohm Version of the Ref I beats the Ref II and the Gold version... does anyone agree with me on this? =D 

agree with GREQ... have no pictures but I can assure you hifimans are the best I found until now too...   any info about the HD540II 600 Ohm version ... and the possibility to change remove the speakers from the earcups without damaging them?...

is there a way to change the drivers without changing the whole cups?... i see no screws inside and dont want to risk damaging my 540s

forgot to mention the gold are also 300 Ohm...    (still waiting for a response on my question) =D   the hifiman velours and leather pads fit perfectly... but leather sound a bit dull... better use the velours... they sound like the original sennheiser velours... ! they wont fall off... no...

Since I became a Fan of these Headphones I bought them all to compare...   Reference Gold Reference 300 Ohm Reference 600 Ohm  Reference II 300 Ohm   the best sounding ones seem to be the Gold and the Reference 600 Ohm... Cant tell the same about Reference II... is there a 600 Ohm Version...

pics would be great...    i am not the kind of guy walking around the fleamarket to buy stuff at ebay-prizes... its not that i tricked anyone. the seller wanted one euro... i told him its probably worth more if it works so he demanded 2 € because he didnt knew if they still work or not. i took...

i think every buyer wants original condition... its because behind sennheiser stands a big name... great products .. engineers... marketing and so on. people trust their products and the way these are built. when you change something its only you and your subjective/objective opinion who stands...

Hm... perhaps... I was not able to test them. So they could have been defective ... I think 2€ is quite reasonable in that case... ;D I try to get some cheap Hifiman Velours but i have no comparision to the original Reference II velours since i dont have them =/ I will look at ebay for a pair...

Hello fellow HD540-lovers...(sorry for my English) just got mine from a fleamarket in Germany (2 Euro)  and had the opportunity to compare them to many different other older Sennheisers AKGs and Beyer Dynamics, hooked to an Anedio D2 DAC.... As for now I think I will keep them. Like the HD800...
