I'm pretty sure that's not gonna be a thing they do. I have an X5 2nd gen DAP and I don't think they have a "send it in for battery replacement" program for that so, once it's dead, it's likely dead unless there's a Youtube video and a path to opening it up myself!

Take an existing DAP and add a tape transport to it is really what they ought to be doing. All the adjustments are in software as it is (with the supporting electronics of course) but I equate the tape to my SD cards in my Fiio X5 and it does everything it needs to do with the music on those...
