Replacing my 160gb iPod classic
I don't know if this will help, but when my 160gb Classic started misbehaving and I thought I better start looking I was lost. I did discover Head-Fi and found out it's a different world out there. What I finally decided on was a AK120. Not the new one, the first generation with two card...- Kerry W

iPod with SDXC mod (Tarkan or OWC)
I thought I would eventually do a couple. It seems like such a nice little package with all of that storage. I was a bit nervous opening the iPod up. I watched a couple of videos on YouTube and my brother in law was there coaching me and telling me what to watch out for and what was delicate...- Kerry W

iPod with SDXC mod (Tarkan or OWC)
Yes, I believe that was the one. SD-CF Adapter (USD) Item# SDCF4USD The one in my photo is actually two of them taped together. They arrived that way from Tarkin. The blue sticker is holding them together. By the way, they were $18.00 ea. and I don't believe he charged for shipping. I...- Kerry W

iPod with SDXC mod (Tarkan or OWC)
Thank you sir for the kind words. Yes indeed the Mini has a Wolfson DAC. I have been listening with an amp, but am trying to find IEM's that pair well with it. I just got a set of HAVI B3 Pro 1s and hope to try them this weekend.- Kerry W

iPod with SDXC mod (Tarkan or OWC)
I only have experience with the Mini and this is my first one. I was pretty nervous and probably overly cautious, but it went very smooth. I get a kick out of the Mini. With the 256gb mod its a lot of horsepower in a small package.- Kerry W

iPod with SDXC mod (Tarkan or OWC)
Yes, it is the SD adapter. I believe the SD storage may be the biggest bang for the buck. 256gb was less than $100.00 with shipping. So, the whole iPod Mini outfit came to a sum of well under $200.00 even with a new battery for good measure.- Kerry W

iPod with SDXC mod (Tarkan or OWC)
Oh, I did not format the card at all. I used it as it came. I did try to upload my music with iTunes, about 180gb worth, and it was going to take an enormous amount of time to sync. Something like 10 days. So I was speaking my nephew about Rockbox and he Rockbox'd it for me. It only took around...- Kerry W

iPod with SDXC mod (Tarkan or OWC)
It is the same adapter as for the 5.5g, I emailed Tarkin and asked if it would work. He seems like a good guy and sent a printout of SD card compatibilities. The PNY was half the price of a Sandisk and was very highly recommended. The Mini is a 2nd generation, it was a 4gb originally.- Kerry W

Who still has the Sony SA5000?
I'm trying to adjust to them now. They are so comfortable, but so different sounding from the LCD2s. To me they almost seem fragile compared to the Audezes.- Kerry W

Who still has the Sony SA5000?
Hi. I paid $599.00 for them. I hope I did not overpay, but they were like new in box and had all of the paperwork with them.- Kerry W

Who still has the Sony SA5000?
I have been intrigued by what I have read about these headphones for some time and I finally found a pair that are "mint in box" and ordered them. I have a week or so to wait before they arrive. I am eager to say the least. It is a little freighting to get something so long out of production...- Kerry W

My 32GB Flash IPod Mini
Fairly new on the Forum and thought I would share my first mod project. 256gb iPod mini. I owe all the good folks at Head-Fi a giant "ThankYou". Not only would I have never known this was possible, but also I would have not taken the risk to try it without all I have read here and a few other...- Kerry W
