Does the M1pro from 2021 and M2pro from 2023 have diff headphone outputs? When I'm using an Andromeda IEM with the 2021 14" I can hear hissing noise and it's quiet on my 2023 16". I thought they were supposed to be the same dac/amp hardware. Loving all my IEMs on the MBP 16.

another weird observation on my MBP M1 Pro 14 vs. M2 Pro 16. The M1 Pro seems to have issues with sensitive IEMs like the Andromeda where as the M2 Pro doesn't have any issues. The Andro sound great on the M2 Pro.

Haven't been posting on headfi for some time now with weird work schedule. Took out my pair of Andro snow white from moving boxes and tried it with different sources (macbook pro, phone with dongle and lotoo paw s-1). Was disappointed with noise issue on the mbp and the dongle didn't sound...

I have a great condition Empyrean that hasn't had much use. Life has been quite busy so I haven't had time to use my cans or IEMs as much as I would like to. Hopefully I can find a good home for the Empy. Comes with original box, case, headphones and 2 pads, 2 oems cables and silver dragon...

looks like there are mentions of the andromeda such an OG IEM that is still loved today "best" is also really subjective, but that's what head-fi is made for

I have a few DAPs that can power headphones (currently Meze Empyrean). Haven't test the Empyrean on the MBP yet. Using my IEMs currently and it could be the Apple Music app with the settings that make my IEMs more transparent. The soundstage seems much wider compared to the Lotoo S1.

Just picked up my M1Pro MacBook Pro today. First thing I wanted to test was the 3.5mm output. First impression: oh wow, it sounds really good. Looks like I won't be needing my Lotoo S1 anymore.

so far I've found the Empyrean are really easy to power. I've used them on a DAP and older Grace M902 desktop amp. Haven't tried on my tube amp yet. What are some amp recommendations to push it to the limit?
