I am going to listen closely to my K7xx and HD600 again, as my initial thoughts on bass were different. I felt like they had similar amounts of bass, just in different areas (sub vs mid)

looks like your tips are smaller. The problem with the ATH CKM500's is that they are too thick so you can't even get the foam tips around them.   My shure olives have a narrower opening than yours it seems.
