Sennheiser HD 25-1 II Vs Audio Technica ATH-M50
I currently own both the Amperior, the Audio Technica M50x and the Shure SRH840. If you're strictly looking for portable use, I would go with the Amperior. It isolates very well, and is a real pleasure to use in noisy environments. To be honest, the Amperiors didn't WOW me out of the box. What's...- juanchous

Takstar HD6000 and Pro 80 << vs. >> JVC HA-S400 and HA-S500
To be honest, I don't find the S500 to be extremely bass emphasised. I have the Amperior's and I find them to be more bassy than my S500. The sound on the JVCs is leaner and more spacious. Personally, the JVCs give me a more enjoyable listening experience.- juanchous

High sensitivity+high isolation+bass enhanced+over\on ear. can't find that combination :(
bump. I would also be interested in finding something with the S500's sound signature, but with more isolation.- juanchous

How come the JVC HA-S500 sounds like crap to me when it sounds like gold to everyone else?
Totally agree! I have both, and I find them to be a winning combination for home (srh840) and portable (S500) use.- juanchous

[Review] NVX XPT100, A direct Brainwavz HM5 competitor
I mean, I wouldn't consider them to be "high end", but at the moment I have the Shure srh840 (which would be in the same league), and it suits my needs perfectly.- juanchous
