My LCD2's are getting repaired due to driver failure at the moment, they failed earlier in January 2019 and i had them repaired back then as well. Does anyone know if any changes have been made to the drivers between then and now?

The earpads have to be removed to reach the driver (they are glued on) so they were replaced. I think mine was a 2014 LCD2, pre-fazor.

My pre-fazors died a while ago :triportsad:. Just got the drivers replaced with fazors and they definitely sound livelier with a little less heft on the low end. Great service and communication from audeze the whole process was painless

Isn't this the 2.1? I thought the 2.2 pre-fazor had angled connectors. I have the 2.2 pre-fazors and mine have angled connectors. EDIT: is there any word on differences in sound between the LCD2C and the original pre-fazor LCD2's?

My thoughts are the same Anj. I've had these cans for some months now and never considered upgrading once. These are my endgame for sure, i just hope these 2.2 prefazor drivers don't give out any time soon!
