yes, but hd650 are by no means "wow-effect" headphones. they just do everything very good. they will be MUCH better than beats though (but not in loud environment)

249 is still waaay too much for Beats Pro and what they represent - the HD25 sound way better to me. I liked even the hd25sp more.   for about 300 you can get used HD650 and thats the way to go if you want good headphones with bass

i tried somthing similar once, but failed at trying to fit some earpads at those plastic earcups, very uncomfortable without the pads

hd600 maybe? 650 if u need even moar bass. nor sure about ad900s soundstage though

Vintage AKGs (K240 Sextetts, Monitors K141 and offsprings) do everything quite good.   HD600 is my personal pick.

x2 on dt770. hd25 may sound bit better, but theyre nowhere as comfortable
