Review of Little Dot MKV Dual Mono Solid State Headphone Amplifier
I'd just like to say, I recently purchased a MkV. Listening chain is in my sig. At approx 50 hours burn-in, not only is it absolutely gorgeous, but it makes me realize just how good Penchum's original review was. I refuse to believe it is actually going to get much better with more burn in...- JaymzN

LIttledot MK V - Hiss w/ HFI-700's
That explains it! I'll just use the adapter for when I'm using the HFI-700's or anything with lower impedance then. Cheers for the help!- JaymzN

LIttledot MK V - Hiss w/ HFI-700's
It doesn't matter where the volume knob is, I hear the hissing at the exact same volume from 0 all the way up to about 80+. From there on I hear some more hissing, but I can tell that's actually gain noise which is different and understandable. Since I posted last I've noticed something...- JaymzN

LIttledot MK V - Hiss w/ HFI-700's
Quote: I would class it as a hiss. Still present when RCA cables are disconnected (no difference) and present on both channels. Only stops when I turn the amp off. Again, it's almost inaudible on my DT880's. But it's quite high on my HFI-700's.- JaymzN

LIttledot MK V - Hiss w/ HFI-700's
Hi there, I recently purchased a Littledot MK V. Only has about 20 hours burn-in with my DT-880's but I'm absolutely loving it! Chain is; PC USB--->X-Fi Surround (Optical/SPDIF out)--->HR Ultra Micro DAC--->LittleDotMKV--->DT880's (250ohm) Now the problem is when I...- JaymzN

HD595 & V6 vs DT880
Got my DT880's last year when the Amazon sale was on. Thank the gods.... Doesn't change the fact that between those, my DAC and my amp, Head-Fi advice has led to the gaping 800 dollar hole in my wallet! Though listening to Rush on the setup I now have somehow makes it all worth it- JaymzN

Is My Setup Any Good?
^ What he said. Think about your ultimate goal, it's to listen to your nice (lossless?) audio on your HD595's. So, Source ----> Headphones Of course, you need to do things in between... Source ----> playback software ----> DAC ----> Amp ----> Headphones you're adding a bunch of...- JaymzN

Foobar2K output bit depth?
Sorry to be a thread necromancer, but I'm just confirming that the way I'm going about things is right.... For 44.1/16 files, I've got everything set up according to the ASIO setup guide on these forums and it's working nicely. For files that go beyond (like 96/24 files) I'm using Resampler...- JaymzN

Useful info for SuperPro 707 USB DAC owners (and maybe other USB DACs too)
Anyone know what USB chip the Headroom Ultra MicroDAC uses? I'd really like to try this because I currently can't use ASIO4ALL with foobar- JaymzN

Foobar2K output bit depth?
I guess when listening to 24/96 files then, I'll just leave foobars output bit-depth at 16. So essentially, it's being converted from 24bit to 16bit by foobar, then reconverted up to 24bit by the DAC. Sounds kind of messy to me- JaymzN

Foobar2K output bit depth?
I'm curious as to what I should have this set to. I just got a Ultra Micro DAC from Headroom and I believe that is upsamples to 24-bit. Now the majority of FLAC/ALAC/WAVs I play in Foobar are all 16-bit. So, Q1. Should I keep the foobar output bit-depth at 16-bit? Or set it to 24-bit...- JaymzN
