Astell&Kern NOVUS IEM collab with Empire Ears

I contacted Moon Audio. Novus is only available for preorder still. They said it's now scheduled for end of June '24 release.

Do you think there's any chance of a Novus in your near future?... and if so, of it overtaking Raven in your lineup? Just curious. The gold aesthetic is not my taste. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't weighing whether or not to give it a go anyway. The thought of a Raven with a little more...

As long as it's not warranty service, I'm pretty sure EE will repair an Odyssey directly through their own support and repair service.

Send the pics and description of damage to EE support. They'll get back to you about if they can repair and what it'll take and might cost. Although they'll probably have to look at it in the shop to know for sure and an exact cost to repair. EE has great support and repair service.

Dude, chill. I have EVO, Odyssey, and Raven. All I did was say that I've heard EE say that the W10 BCD transfers through the eartip, and quote information directly from one of Jack's posts. If you wanna throw a dismissive hissy fit... have at it.

Seems like I remember EE saying several times that the Weapon X bone conduction is transferred through the ear canal, so is dependent on the eartip to properly transfer. I found this earlier in the thread posted by Jack around the time EVO was being released... Jack Vang: "The W10 is...

The main reason I won't be getting Novus is... the hideous 24k gold plating. If it was slightly less expensive, I might be willing to live with it. I hope EE moves away from gold IEM shells quickly.

If it's the satin/matte gold version and not the shiny gold version, it's for sure the completely updated version with the stronger shell. By the time the satin/matte gold was in production, they had already made all the updates to the design.

Not a review, but here's a link to Twister6's overall impressions of some IEMs at Canjam '24. EE and Novus are about halfway down the page.... https://twister6.com/2024/03/26/canjam-nyc-2024/2/

Yes, I don't mind the overall design aesthetic. But why did EE again go for gold-plated? The driver config and sound signature I've read about really temps me. But at that price AND having to live with a 24k gold-plated color scheme... REALLY takes my enthusiasm for it down quite a few notches.

Already wrote my opinion on how pure silver litz really opens the entire frequency range up on Raven. Especially extends highs and sub-lows, and really clears up lower midrange. I originally wrote my opinion based on DHC 8-wire silver litz. But I also just received a Lavricables Grand Silver...

Someone said earlier that in their country, the combination of the price of buying Raven and the price they could get for their Odyssey would mean they would end up effectively paying somewhere around twice as much as the actual price, and wanted to know if it would be worth the upgrade over...
