Guys, I'm having a playback problem with Poweramp here. So I was like listening to FLAC mostly becoz my DSD are ISO format. I just tried to rip them to DSF files, unfortunately at the end of every DSF playback, there is a pop static sound which is totally unacceptable.   Some people commented...

  I wonder why Poweramp is working perfectly fine on me.

  I don't think that will work in DP-X1.   Try play a normal audio file with stock app, then play other audio file form 3rd party player, the stock app will just stop.

  I'm not sure what quality I am getting. But let me be honest, I'm more happy with the SQ of Poweramp than Onkyo stock player.    However, I would like to find out.

  Poweramp user here and yes, it's much louder than stock player. But I really like the SQ on Poweramp better. Some people comment I'm being ridiculous becoz Poweramp supposed do not have access to the extra DAC so I'm only listen to an Android. 

  Too bad long press on DP-X1 only allows you to change wallpaper, nothing else.   I only have stock player and Poweramp widgets, and I have 3 blank homescreen

I have been using PowerAmp full version and personally I like it better than stock player.   BTW, anyone know how to remove the Google bar and extra home screen? 

  Yes, I completely agree with your view here.   And come to think twice, of coz software could affect how hardware perform, it's just a very 101 Q&A.

Interesting that this thread is still going on.   However, from other forum, I'm also aware that people are complaining the sound quality is performed differently with different firmware.   While I agree our ears and brain might be bias from varies reasons, I still tend to believe firmware...
