  Hey guys I've been using an Yamaha CDC 505 as my source, and I have the Sennhieser HD 555.   But It's going into a crap  ( i assume it's crap, lol) Sony htib receiver  (paid like $150 for it including the speakers that came with it)   and Ive been using that to power the headphones.  But...

one day i walked to the study area on campus and i saw THREE guys wearing what appeared to be different variants of Senns that shared the hd212 styling. i was like whoa. oh and i see a few guys withe the Beats. but im pretty sure they just buy those because they are expensive.

my main problem is, i don't have the patience to it in the middle of a stereo field with speakers. lol maybe i just haven't head speakers good enough yet to make me want to, lol. i ve never owned any stereo system worth over 200 dollars , so yeah, lol. though am i am saving for a Paradigm...

why do you choose to use headphones instead of loudspeakers when listening to music . what do you feel are the advantages of using headphones? any answers are great, just curious
