You can test if it is in Quad mode by seeing how quickly the battery drains. The battery should drain faster in Quad and you can use a timer to see when it goes to zero in dual then put it in Quad and see if the battery drains faster.

I don't have an SP3000 but an SR35. I've found to keep the battery from draining I turn off both my wifi and my bluetooth every time I turn it off.

I'm using Amazon Music 23.13.2, which is on my download tab. My Amazon Music is working fine. Definitely not snappy at initial load up, but after it loads it's fine.

Are you not using a micro sd card? It may have to do with you maxing out the space on the device. I store all my music on my micro sd card and none on the actual device.
