Any old fart head-fi'ers still around?

Was this the meet at Thrice's house? It's too bad about Mikhail, he was such a friendly fellow in person. Glad that Tyle is out having a blast :D

    Show us your dog!

That Link outfit is adorable. Gracie is the only dog I've met that likes to dress up (albeit for short time frames), she runs around happy as a lark for a bit, up and down the halls to show off, then when she is done she shakes back and forth and we take it off. Every other dog we've had just...

Here's my little love, Dalmatian/whippet rescue. She's very tolerant of hats

    Favorite Junk Food

So much amazing looking food on here. That cheesesteak and Italian beef sub look mouthwatering. Our local Pizza Hut shut down and they don't deliver to my home or work address, so I hadn't had their deep dish for a while. Had a craving so I drove to one in the next town over. Soooo worth it...

    DIY Cable Gallery!!

I seem to recall those 4 pin connectors come with a collet that you crimp around the cable, then a set screw that you tighten on it. I have the white paper on the part on my other computer, will upload it tomorrow if that can help at all. The Furutech crimp seems like an afterthought to me, it...

    DIY Cable Gallery!!

Very nice! Are you going to put a grounding spade on the external wire? Paul's cable looks like it could be waxed cotton, but it's a little hard to tell. Waxed cotton wire was pretty common inside amplifiers in the 60s, it's a nice look. Regarding the Furutech Pentaconn, I recommend...

    DIY Cable Gallery!!

I like the Neotech silver gold matched up with copper as well. A shame it's so expensive. The only trouble you may have is the length of the wire you use will vary a bit if you are braiding 24 and 26 AWG together. The length of the 26AWG will be a little longer, if that makes any difference to...

    Torpedo III Build Thread

Great to hear! I still have mine, love the long thin form factor, very creative. I can't believe it's been 11 years since then. It sits next to my Bottlehead S.E.X., another amp I could never part with.

    Torpedo III Build Thread

I know Tom is closing up shop, but maybe offering the Gerber files for sale on the site for the 3rd iteration would be nice for anyone late to the party, keep the project alive. Maybe DIYAudio could sell the PCBs and chassis. I'd be sad if it just disappeared.

Wow was there? Cinemag and Jensen are the only ones that make them now that I know of. I miss MQ.

I'm glad you made the investment. These are great amps for the money and the design is fun too.

    UFOs Are Real, Now What?

Without getting into the political details, reps receiving $$ from certain companies are actively trying to block the UAPDA. While not surprising, it is annoying. I assume you feel the same way.
