Thanks a lot Berlioz! I'm not at all in boomy sound at all. I'm mainly listening to classical. I'm looking for a comfortable headset and somehow sound isolating. My Er-6 are very detailed and isolating but very uncomfortable and a tad weak in the bass for my taste. Did you try the Denon...

    alternative to Bose QC3

I got the bose QC3 on hand. These headphones are pricey (350$), boomy and slightly overdone in the midrange. Other than that, the QC3 are well done. They are small, really comfy (you can wear it for hours), and the noise canceling works pretty well. Does anyone tried alternatives to the QC3...

If not Bose QC3, then what?

Okay, this thread is kind of old but the price of the Bose QC3 is still the same and quite expensive (350$). To me, the QC3 sounds a bit boomy and the midrange is slightly overdone for listening at classical without major tweaking of the equalizer. Did anyone compared the QC3 side by side with...

Thanks for the advice Zalithian. I thought that by leaving my comment this thread was going to go back in the pool of the new threads . I did not want to create a new one since this thread was relevant to my concerns.
